CHERYL HINES FILES FOR DIVORCE: Cheryl Hines and her husband Paul Young have split. A rep for the Curb Your Enthusiasm star said in a statement, "They will remain extremely close friends and will raise their daughter together." The couple, who were married for seven years, have a six-year-old daughter named Catherine.

MEL GIBSON GETTING MORE TIME WITH DAUGHTER? Mel Gibson is reportedly going to get double the visitation time with his young daughter, despite the legal drama he's going through with her mom, Oksana Grigorieva. RadarOnline.com reports that a Los Angeles judge ordered the former couple to adhere to some of the guidelines set forth in their aborted peace deal -- including the agreement that Mel's custodial rights of Lucia, now at 20 percent, would to increase to 40 percent once Lucia turns one-year-old on October 30. A source told Radar, "Oksana is furious. . . she is convinced Mel is not fit to be alone with Lucia."

BRAD PITT THINKS DEATH PENALTY WARRANTED OVER BP OIL SPILL: Brad Pitt is not mincing words when it comes to his anger over the BP oil spill and the effect its had on his beloved New Orleans.
