Jennifer Aniston says she knew something was wrong with Chez Gabriela Studio owner Maria Gabriella Perez, and stopped associating with her five years prior to Perez's Wednesday arrest on fraud charges.
Perez appeared in court on Thursday, a day after she was arrested for allegedly stealing credit card information from clients like Aniston, Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler, Melanie Griffith and Cher, and charging around $300,000 to their cards illegally. Tyler's cards alone were racked up with $214,000 in fraudulent charges in 2009 from the salon.
Aniston said on Good Morning America, "We had a situation that was not cool so I just stopped going to her. I knew something like this would eventually happen because there's no way you can get away with that. It's terrible."
51-year-old Perez was reportedly arrested Wednesday by Secret Service agents. She faces two counts of fraud that carries a maximum prison sentence of 25 years if she is convicted.
