HEARING DATE SET FOR JOE JACKSON'S ESTATE CASE: Michael Jackson's dad Joe is set to appear in court on October 6th to begin arguing that he deserves to receive monthly checks from MJ's estate. According to Eurweb.com, California's Second District Court of Appeal set the date yesterday (September 2nd). As previously reported, Michael's 2002 will did not include Joe and a ruling after the pop icon's death placed his attorney John Branca and family friend John McClain in charge of his affairs. Joe Jackson appealed the ruling in November.
TIGER NOT MOVING INTO NYC BACHELOR PAD: Although reports hit earlier this week that Tiger Woods was moving into a bachelor pad in downtown NYC, sources are reporting that the alleged new apartment is a hoax. According to The New York Post, sources have found that the apartment is an "80's conversion, run down building that is below the golf star's standards. One broker said, "No way Tiger would live there." Sources suggested that if Tiger was spotted moving boxes into the apartment -- as some witnesses have suggested, he may have been helping a girlfriend.
WENDY WILLIAMS ASKED TO TONE IT DOWN FOR TV: Reports say that Wendy Williams has been asked to tone it down for the next season of her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show. According to The New York Post, executives at the show want the host to be a little less "Wendy" to appeal to middle-America moms. The executives reportedly fired her producer Rob Dauber and told her makeup team to tone down Wendy's look and for Wendy to tone down her personality. A show rep denies that there will be any changes starting on Monday (September 6th).
