American Idol took the auditions to Hollywood last night (February 8th). Johnny Keyser started it off by singing "Dreamer" by Amos Lee and was passed through to the next round along with Heejun Han, who sang "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You."
Jen Hirsh sang "Up to the Mountain" by Patty Griffin, with judge Steven Tyler telling her, "Don't stop," and she moves forward to the next round. Nanny Reed Grimm amused the judges by performing "I Got A Golden Ticket" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and 17-year-old David Leathers Jr. wowed the judges by performing "Because you Love me" by Celine Dion and also advanced.
The final performance of the episode was by Symone Black, a 16-year-old student, who sang "Sitting on the Dock of the bay" by Otis Redding. During the conversation with the judges, Black fell off the front of the stage.
