MILEY CYRUS AND LIAM HEMSWORTH SPLIT

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split up after about a year of dating. The Australian actor's rep confirmed the news, telling Radar Online, "It's true."

According to GossipCop.com, they broke up "pretty recently," and an insider says Hemsworth is "completely single." The couple first met on the set of The Last Song back in June 2009, and started gushing over each other publicly while promoting the film in March. At the time, Cyrus said it was her most serious relationship ever.

Earlier this summer, there were rumors that the 20-year-old Hemsworth was getting frustrated with Cyrus' onstage antics and sexy outfits.

Cyrus, who's 17, will star in the upcoming film, LOL: Laughing Out Loud, co-starring Demi Moore. In it, she plays a "bad girl," who smokes weed and loses her virginity, among other things. She's currently in Detroit shooting the film, which also stars Ashley Greene.
