TRAIN SINGER RECALLS WRITING 'IF IT'S LOVE' ON SAME DAY AS 'HEY, SOUL SISTER'

Train continues to climb up the charts with "If It's Love," the second single off the band's latest Save Me, San Francisco album. The track song comes off the heels of Train's smash hit, "Hey, Soul Sister."

We caught up recently Train frontman Pat Monahan and asked him about "If It's Love." Apparently, he was on a writing streak when he wrote both tracks: "You know I wrote that the same day as I wrote 'Hey, Soul Sister.' It was in the same building with a different guy. So I worked with him in the day and we wrote 'If It's Love,' and I went downstairs to the other guys and wrote 'Hey, Soul Sister. And that was that. But, yeah, it was a lot of fun. That whole experience for me was really excellent. It wasn't about writing hit songs; it was about writing songs that were really special together because we won before they were hits because we loved them."

Train is currently on tour.
