MADONNA'S DAUGHTER LOURDES STARTS AT NEW YORK PUBLIC SCHOOL

Madonna's 13-year-old daughter Lourdes started high school in New York this week at the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts -- sometimes known as the Fame school. The New York Daily News reports that on her first day of school, Lourdes -- who worked on the Material Girl clothing line with her mom -- wore ankle-high leather boots, a black skirt and a plaid sleeveless shirt over a white T-shirt.

One student at the school told reporters, "I saw Lourdes in the morning and in the cafeteria . . . she was talking to people . . . she blends in with everyone. She seems like a normal person." Another student said, "I don't want to be like, 'Your mom's a celebrity,' but if the occasion arises, I'd definitely talk to her."
