JASON MRAZ KICKS OFF TOUR THIS WEEKEND

Jason Mraz's fall tour gets underway tomorrow (Saturday, September 11th) in Bangor, Maine and continues through early October. Although Mraz doesn't have a new album to promote, he figured now would be a good time to road test some new tracks and visit different markets.

Mraz tells us what fans can expect on the road this fall: "It's not going to be a show of entirely new material because we don't want to bore people with songs they don't -- aren't familiar with. But you know, night after night we'll able eek in a couple of new songs here and there -- songs that we are working on in the studio. So A- it's an opportunity stretch our legs. I've been indoors, and I've been off the road for at least a year. It gives us an opportunity to play with some new technology, some new toys."

Singer-songwriter Robert Francis will open most of the shows, while Christina Perri will appear on a few select dates.

Mraz says, "I still got emails and Facebook messages from fans whose hometowns we missed. When I found out I had some time off, I called up the band and said, 'Let's get to some of these places.'"

Mraz's most recent album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things, came out in 2008 and featured the hit "I'm Yours."
